Playing Catch-Up

I haven't been as productive 'round these parts as I would have liked these last two months. I was on a bit of a roll in the early parts of summer but just kind of fizzled out through August and September. Lots of my fellow bloggers have spoken of feeling this kind of burn-out, so perhaps it's a communal thing, but for me it stops today.

So I am hereby declaring October catch-up month here at Medfly. I'm gonna do something I've never done here before, review movies from DVDs, and try to write-up some of the 2009 releases that I haven't seen yet, in addition to staying on top of the new releases this month. It's a new dawn , it's a new day, it's a new life for me... and I'm feelin' good.

So... explain the plan again? You're going to start reviewing movies from DVDs and from this year? OMG THAT'S SO COOL YOU'VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE!!!!

Isn't that what you've been doing, Ryan...? Doesn't seem like your "change we can believe in" is much of a change at all! But anything to make October memorable.

No, I only call it a 'review' if I've seen it in the theater. You know watching a movie on a television versus a movie theater screen is very different, and I wanted to clarify that most movies I'll be writing up in October are movies I'll be watching on a 36 inch television as opposed to a 50 foot screen.

Let me be anal about this, will ya? =P

Well, hell...

This is certainly magnificent news for everyone. Who couldn't do with more frequent posts from Monsieur Ryan Kelly?

I will be awaiting such in fevered anticipation and with bated breath.

Don't let me down, my little Irish angel.

Over and out...

Oh. Then in that case, Godspeed.

Huzzah! I also fizzled out on my blog (though much earlier than you have) and I've been trying to motivate myself to start writing again. Here's to getting back on the horse!

Yep, there's nothing that you can do to prevent being busy during the fall season. I've been pretty disappointed in myself too for not watching as many films as soon as the summer ended. But what can you do besides wait for those golden opportunities in which having time to watch a film becomes an often activity instead of a luxury that you don't often have?

That screencap makes me laugh like only a true nerd can. Thank you for that.
